A cosy, ribbed raglan sweater. The pattern includes instructions for both the mock neck and the crew neck.

Skill level
Intermediate: pattern inc working in the round, short rows and basic shaping

Materials
approximately 625 (890, 1050, 1210, 1380, 1540) yards of bulky weight yarn. I used Álafosslopi from Ístex which is a bulky Icelandic yarn.

Gauge
15sts & 20 rows = 4”/10cm in k1, p1 rib after blocking, using size 8/ 5mm needles

Needles
Size US 8 / 5mm 32”/ 80cm circular for the majority of the sweater
Size US 6 / 4mm 32” /80cm circular for the inside neck.
Size US 7 / 4.5mm 32” /80cm circular for hem
Size US 10 / 6mm 32”/ 80cm circular for the turn row on the neck

Additional Tools
8 stitch markers (one different for end of round), tapestry needle for sewing in ends and seams. Optional DPNs if you prefer not to use magic loop for the sleeves.

CONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW
• The sweater is made top down in the round to the bottom of the yoke. After holding stitches for the sleeves, the body is once again worked in the round until bind off at the bottom hem
• Sleeves are worked in the round from yoke to cuff.
• The sweater is wet blocked after completion.
