Ann is a top-down raglan sweater with a colorwork folded-over collar. The colorwork motif is inspired by traditional overshot coverlets from the United States. This particular motif is inspired by a dog tracks and crosses coverlet by a woman named Ann.

You begin with casting on for the neck flat and working short rows. After completing the short rows, you join in the round and work raglan increases until the instructed yoke depth. Once splitting for the sleeves, you work a few more inches in the round before beginning the colorwork motif. After the colorwork motif, there are a few inches of plain knitting before the mistake rib hem and casting off with the contrasting color. Stitches are then picked up for the sleeves which are worked in the round, ending with the mistake rib hem and contrast cast-off.

Any fingering weight, 2-ply yarn suitable for stranded colorwork would work well for this pattern.
