I’m more of a “gift knitter” than a “keep knitter”, so I’ve made virtually nothing for my son, Owen; but I felt the urge to create something for my friend, Alice, whose baby was due on essentially the same day as Owen! No, we didn’t plan that. I also have a thing for indonesian ikat prints lately, so I thought I’d put an ikat look into a baby cardigan and hat set for Alice’s daughter, Annabelle. I love how it turned out so much that I actually made a set for Owen in “boy colors”, as well!

Yarn:
Cascade 220 Superwash Sport (pink and gray “girl” sample)
2 (2, 3) skeins MC
1 (1, 1) skein CC1
1 (1, 1) skein CC2

It is usually a good idea to purchase additional skeins just in case you run out unexpectedly. Return unused skeins to the store if their return policies allow.
