This scarf gives the illusion of intertwining cables, but it is actually worked in a seven-stitch lace pattern that repeats every six rows. For simplicity, each seven-stitch multiple ends with a purl stitch so it’s easy to catch mistakes. The scarf begins and ends with a small point pattern and each edge is bordered with a simple combination of a yarnover with a directional decrease. I placed blocking wires through the front half of the edge stitches to give a pretty lace effect along the length of the scarf and I pinned out the points to form zigzags at each end.
