This modified linen-stitch cowl is named for English fossil-hunter Mary Anning. With little formal education, she discovered ichthyosaurs, long-necked plesiosaurs, pterodactyl, and hundreds of other Jurassic fossils, and taught herself anatomy, geology, paleontology, and scientific illustration. The textured stitch pattern in this cowl evokes treasures buried in earth, and celebrates hand-dyed yarns in wildly variegated colorways.
