Afghan is worked vertically in 5 panels crocheted together.

Leave 7-inch ends to be incorporated into fringes when joining and fastening off colors.
Work last stitch of old color completely before fastening off; chain 1 and pull tight to secure.
Join by inserting hook in indicated stitch, placing slip knot on hook and pulling loop through, unless otherwise stated.
Chain-2 at beginning of double-crochet row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
Chain-2 in flower motif does not count as double crochet.
As work progresses, some rows may appear to be loose until subsequent rows are worked.
Chain-1 at beginning of half-double-crochet row counts as first half double crochet unless otherwise stated.
Chain-1 at beginning of single-crochet row counts as first single crochet unless otherwise stated.
When instructed to drop yarn, remove hook and place loop on locking stitch marker until next needed. When instructed to pick up yarn, remove marker and place loop on hook.
