May we introduce “Antoinette” to you, an elegant lace scarf, with a loop for fastening, that starts and ends with the beautiful “falling leaves” design: This simple 16 row repeat is an ideal start to your lace knitting journey – where the pattern is worked only on the right side of the fabric, leaving alternate rows to be purled. Thus the scarf should maintain your interest, without being overly-demanding. The central section of garter stitch is an opportunity for you to truly relax into your knitting – and allow the yarn to share its colour story with you as you enjoy watching its complete range of dyes unfold, forming a stunning harmony with those around them.

This scarf is dedicated to Antoinette R. First and foremost, my friend, Antoinette also used her professional coaching skills to help me identify and start realising my knitting goals, one of which is to bring this pattern to you.
