‘Any Yarn Will Do’ is a classic top-down round yoke sweater, designed with beginner garment crocheters in mind. If you’ve never made a sweater before, this one is for you!

The pattern is designed to work with any of 5 yarn weights including 4ply / fingering / sock weight, double knit, aran or worsted, chunky and super chunky. You are essentially getting 5 patterns in one!

Skills Needed
This pattern is suitable for beginners with some crochet experience. It uses simple stitches, basic increases and decreases working in the round.
A written description and a link to a video tutorial for the extended single crochet stitch is included as well as a photo guide which shows how to ‘split the yoke’.
The pattern is written in English using US standard crochet terms and also includes a schematic.

Sizing
The pattern is written in 7 sizes from XS to 3XL. Approximate measurements of the finished item are given in the pattern along with guidance and suggestions for personal alterations.
The sweater is a relaxed fit around the bust (10cm ease) with more closely fitting sleeves.
The items pictured are all size Small, worn by me (a UK 8-10, 5’2”)

Materials
This pattern will work with any yarn from 4ply to super chunky and a suitable size crochet hook (suggested sizes for different weights are included in the pattern).
The amount of yarn needed will depend on the yarn weight you use and the size you are making. Approximate yarn requirements for each yarn weight and size are included in the pattern.
The yarns and hook sizes listed here are those used to create the samples you see pictured - but any yarn will do!! You can have fun with your colour work and make this a great stash busting project!
