Knitworthy 3
The collection features 8 patterns intended to make good gifts for everyone on your knitworthy list (because life’s too short to knit for anyone who doesn’t love what you make).

Aoibhinn
Classic cabled mittens worked from cuff to fingertip. They’re worked in a sturdy aran weight yarn at a tight gauge to block out the chillest of winds. Aoibhinn features my favourite thumb shaping which fits well and is easy to work by increasing in a single column on the palm side of the thumb stitches. The thumbs feature ribbing which highlights the curve of this shaping and echoes the two stitch ribs used in the cable pattern. Shaping for the top of the mitten is worked neatly into the cable pattern and the front and back stitches are grafted together to close the top.

Yarn
Aran weight wool or wool blend yarn.
