This is a PDF pattern for a hand-knitted slipover. First, you cast on the back panel and work it to the underarm. Then, you pick up the stitches for each shoulder in turn, shaping the neckline and working to the underarm, at which point you will join the front and back together in the round. You can then work the garment to your desired length. To finish, stitches are picked up and worked for the collar and arm holes.

The pattern is currently available in sizes XS-XL, to fit a range of bust sizes from 85-115cm. The size range will be expanded later this year.

In a 10x10cm swatch, you’ll work 14 stitches over 17 rows using 7mm needles. You will also need 6mm needles for the trim and 5mm needles to cast off neatly.

You will need approx. 3 (3) 4 (4) 5 skeins of the Petite Wool or the Meriwool by We Are Knitters or any alternative yarn that matches the necessary tension. The sample garments are made with the Meriwool in the shade Natural and Beige.

For the Beige Aosta Slipover, I added a strand of We Are Knitters Touch Me Mohair. One skein of this (400m) was perfect for the size S. This did not affect the tension but added a lot of extra tension. A silk-mohair blend like Drops Kid silk would also make a beautiful addition.

The pattern is also available as part of my Core Collection Set, with the Aosta Sweater and Aosta Cardigan on Ravelry (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/core-collection-set) and on my site (https://the-knit-purl-girl.com/product/core-collection-set/).
