A really simple, enjoyable knit.

Knitted flat on 2 needles & seamed (or circularly if you prefer).

This is a variation on the ‘Old Shale’ pattern which is beloved by knitters.

A gradient yarn is particularly effective.

I love this yarn but it is not cost effective if you are knitting for profit. Any other Aran yarn will do as well, but look for a soft one to give good drape.

Entirely suitable for a child or novice knitter.

For those of you who knit for profit, particularly those of you who knit tirelessly for worthy causes, please feel absolutely free to display/advertise/pin/post/upload/sell for profit, any knits from this pattern with my blessings.
