This fun apple play set includes 6 small apples and a large apple container to store them in. It’s great for sorting and counting and just having fun!

This pattern is written in English and uses American crochet terminology. It includes lots of photos along with step-by-step instructions.

Materials
Yarn: Worsted weight yarn.
3mm hook for small apples; 4mm hook for apple container.
Fiberfill Stuffing
Embroidery Floss: Black, white and medium pink (DMC#776)
Yarn needle (long and pointed with a large eye works best - mine is about 2 5/8” long)
Safety pin, straight pins, scissors, skewer, needle-nosed pliers

Size
Gauge is not important to this pattern. The size of your finished products will vary depending on the size yarn and hooks you use. Made with the materials listed, the small apples measure about 2” tall (not including stem), the apple container measures 6 ½’ tall (not including the stem and leaf).
 
Pattern Notes
The pattern is written for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond (mainly because of the type of terminology used). The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help.
