Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Winter 2009: “The Aquitanine Pullover works the yoke and cuffs of a seamless sweater in a dramatic, large-scale lace pattern for big impact. Deborah Newton runs a subtle texture pattern in long lines down the body and sleeves for a sweater that’s all soft silhouette and clean curves.”

Finished Size: 34¼ (37, 42¼, 45)“ bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 34¼”, modeled with minimal ease.

Yarn: Classic Elite Kumara (85% merino, 15% baby camel; 128 yd 117 m/50 g): #5719 strawberry frappe, 8 (9, 11, 12) balls.

Needles: Size 10 (6 mm): 24” circular (cir) and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed (dpn). Size 8 (5 mm): 24” cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 18 sts and 25 rnds = 4” in textured patt on larger needle; 19 sts and 24 rnds = 4” in lace patt on larger needle. Rep Rnds 1–4 for patt.

Notes: The body is worked in the round in one piece to the underarms. The sleeves are also worked in the round to the underarms. The pieces are then joined and the yoke is worked in the round.
