This pattern is knit in the entrelac pattern for the square front and back middle panels and knit side-to-side for the sleeves/sides. The sleeves are knit in one piece, then extra stitches are cast on both edges to create the sides of the sweater to form one continuous piece. Short rows are added at the bottoms of the sides to allow for a better fit below the waist.

Single crochet is used around the neck edge. An easy bobble stitch is knit at the sleeve edge and added to the bottom of the sweater.

This sweater is 24” long for all sizes from the shoulder to the bottom edge.

This pattern requires:

  • Patons Metallic Yarn or other yarn to meet gauge
  • Extra matching or complementary yarn to sew seams
  • Size US 8 straight needles
  • Size US 8 circular needles (29”)
  • Size US crochet hook F(5)
  • Needle for sewing
  • Optional - large stitch holder

NOTE: Due to the soft, drapy nature of the yarn, the sizing is made with negative ease (meaning that the finished size is smaller than your bust size). This sweater will stretch to fit your form without being tight or constricting. If you’d like a roomier sweater, please use a size larger than your actual bust size.
