These mitts were inspired by the crystal structure of calcium carbonate (I’m married to a chemist, what can I say?), which is also known as aragonite.

A note on the yarn used in the pattern: The yarn used was Diamond Yarn Luxury Collection Baby Alpaca Lace, which was held double throughout. The pattern uses approximately 50 grams of laceweight yarn, held double, or 50 grams of fingering weight yarn.
