These braided boot cuffs use a standard 6-st braided cable as well as a variation of the Clustered Braid pattern from Barbara Walker’s A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. They are designed to look almost symmetrical vertically, so they can even be worn as legwarmers if you add a few inches to the length. Suggestions are included in the pattern for adding to the length.

These are knit at a fairly tight gauge and fit snugly. (Perfect for those of us who have scrawny legs, myself included!) They were designed for petite legs (about 12” calf circumference), but suggestions are included for up- or down-sizing. The pattern lends itself very well to customization! Just make sure you buy extra yarn if you plan to increase the circumference or length.
