Pattern Description from One-Skein Wonders: 101 Yarn-Shop Favorites: “This tam is based on a traditional Aran tam and knitted from yarn produced in Ireland. Originally knitted back and forth and seamed, these instructions have been adapted for knitting in the round.”

Yarn: Kerry Woollen Mills Aran Wool, 100% owol, 7 oz (200 g)/350 yds (320 m), Bainin

Needles: One US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle 16” (40 cm) long, set of US 7 (4.5 mm) double-point needles, and US 3 (3.25 mm) straight needles or size you need to obtain correct gauge
