Description: a textured, vintage feel, arbour day themed square celebrating Arbour Month here in South Africa.

This is the month we are encouraged to plant indigenous Trees. My contribution was to plant out a White Ironwood Tree and a Cape Holly Tree.

Between bigger projects, I love to make simpler designs. This square measure 22cm x 22cm ( about 9” sq ) and works up really quickly. Experiment with contrasting or harmonious colourways to make a bespoke coverlet in any size.

My suggestion for joining the squares would be the lovely flat braid join.

Yarn: Stylecraft Special DK but feel free to use any yarn you prefer with corresponding hook size.
For these 2 x squares, I used Lincoln Green, Mocha and Parchment.

Hook: 4mm
