Arctic Blizzard Socks are a collection of randomly falling snowflakes. This gorgeous piece of stranded knitting will take some time and concentration to knit, but the finished socks are well worth the effort. These socks are knitted toe-up using magic loop method. The pattern is highly addictive as there is always a new snowflake starting somewhere: “Just a couple of rows more, until this snowflake is done…”

Arctic Blizzard was designed for Tour-de-Sock 2018 competition, Stage 4. Pattern includes separate charts for each size, and for the sake of competition being fair, the larger sizes have a shorter leg. This way the area of the chart is the same on all sizes. The extra effort in stranded knitting is balanced with a simple short-row heel and twisted ribbing cuff.

Sizes: S (M, L)
Finished foot circumference (unstretched): 20 (22,5, 25) cm / 8 (9 , 10)” to be worn with no ease. Please note that the sock is knitted in stranded colorwork throughout. This makes the socks thicker and it may affect the stretching of the sock. You may wish to choose a size larger than what you would normally make.
