I designed this jumper for a trip to Finland close to the Arctic Circle where wool jumpers will be needed, but it would be a warm and attractive layer for winters anywhere. The jumper is knitted in parts to the yoke where it continues in rounds. It has a button fastening at the neck and a very simple but effective colour work design that consists of a repeat of just four stitches. I knitted it in Willow and Lark’s Ramble, a pure wool with and excellent range of colours, but you could substitute any yarn of the same gauge. Only small amounts are needed of the three contrast colours.
