Gauge:
14 sts and 20 rows over 4”/ 10cm in Stockinette Stitch. Note: exact gauge is not critical to this design. If substituting yarn of different weight, use needle size suggested on ball band.

Special Notes:
• Constructed like an orange peel spiral! You begin with a single stitch and increase while working in pattern. Once the tail is long enough, the piece is joined into a circle. As you continue to work a long tail, you connect the sts to the completed portion forming the design completely seamlessly. The designs are wider in one section than the other allowing for full nose coverage with the cowl and full ear coverage with the headband on arctic clime days! Or less stormy winter days, wear the cowl short side facing for a comfy just below the neck width.
• Yarn requirements depend upon yarn weight and size knit with this customizable pattern. In order to ensure enough yarn for the declension, pause at the join in the round, weigh your item, and make sure to save that amount of yarn for the declension.
