To fit foot circumference up to: 8 1/2 (9 1/2, 10 1/2)” (21.5 [24, 26.5]cm)

There are many different ways to create a sock; in this pattern I’ll give you the basics for creating a toe up sock with a short-row heel and toe.
You will notice that I’ve also added a gusset at the instep as I find that socks with a gusset have a better fit.
If you have low instep then you can omit the gusset increases and decreases.
