This is a pretty easy pattern with the colors doing all the work. If you sometimes get bored by endless rows of stockinet stitch, the stripes break that up nicely.

The shawl consists of 3 triangles, a shape that fits well. It uses two colors, starting with a lacy section using one color and then a striped section with both colors. I used almost all of two 210 yard skeins of Malabrigo Rios.

I am a loose knitter and used size 5 needles. Use the size you usually use for worsted weight yarn or whatever gives you the approximate gauge. If you use a different weight yarn, adjust the pattern by adding or subtracting stripes to get your desired length down the center back.

The eyelet section is adapted from a circle in Nicky Epstein’s book, “Knitting in Circles”.

I have made a correction in row 8 of the beginning section. It should read:
Row 8: K2, K1, (YO,K1) twice, k2tog, SSK, (K1,YO) twice, repeat from 3 more times, K2 (37 stitches)

Corrected on download.
