The Arien of Dorthonion Capelet Pattern
_____________________________

Feel like a blushing bride from Edith Wharton’s New York (but with a happy ending!) with this lovely capelet. Little details make a rich tapestry of pattern and texture in this gorgeous garment.

This beautiful Victorian-styled capelet pattern hugs and drapes over the shoulders. Closes at the shaped neck with two knitted bobbles.

The materials required are:

2½ skeins of Lion-Brand Wool-Ease yarn
or just under 500 yards any other Aran weight yarn

Pair of 32” or longer 4.5mm (US size 7) circular knitting needles or DPNs

Cable needle

Wool-Ease is an Aran weight yarn. If you use a smaller, worsted weight yarn, your project may be far too small. You will have to watch your gauge carefully. If you’re unsure, it will be best to use a heavy worsted or light bulky yarn if you’re not using Wool-Ease for your project
