WHAT is l’écheveau solidaire /
The supportive Skein ?
Each month, a new indie designer or an indie dyer create a pattern and/or dye a specific yarn with proceeds that will go towards a charity called (MASFD). The charity’s goal is to raise money for medical research to fight Fibrous Dysplasia, which is a rare genetic disorder affecting the bones.
That way, they give you the opportunity to help the charity through knitting, a small but indispensable gesture to fight an incurable disease.
All the proceeds from the pattern will go towards the charity!

WHY this cause ?
Gaïa is the daughter of Lili, a french knitter who lives in Burgundy.
Gaïa has a rare disease called Mc Cune Albright Syndrome and one of the numerous symptoms is Fibrous Dysplasia. She sadly has a severe form of the syndrome and had to undertake 4 surgeries already.
Lili hopes Gaïa could walk one day, go to school or simply lives her childhood happily. She’s ready to do everything to help her daughter, that’s why she founded the MASFD « Fight Fibrous Dysplasia » charity « MASFD : Vaincre la Dysplasie Fibreuse » in order to help finding a cure for this disease.

’The supportive Skein’ is the first operation from MASFD.
Let’s help her fight Mc Cune Albright Syndrome by raising a grant and find a cure to Fibrous Dysplasia !
