This classic crew neck pullover has an unusual top-down seamless set-in sleeve construction that is fun to knit and practically fail-proof. The design features a mottled texture effect that is produced by holding two strands of contrasting colored yarn together. Top-down construction allows for easy length adjustment and a personalized fit.
The pattern begins with a small flat-knitted panel that spans the back of the shoulders. Parts are added to this back panel to eventually incorporate the whole shoulder area including the sleeve caps. Then, the sweater is worked circularly in rounds from the top of the sleeve caps to the hems.
