This is a top-down yoke sweater with colourwork patterns all over. The yarn used is Scheepjes Metropolis, of which the colourways are all named after cities around the world, hence the name of this sweater!

This pattern is available for FREE on my linked blog. However, if you’d like an easy printable and/or if you want to support my work, you can buy the PDF version. The PDF version includes even more colourwork patterns!

Tutorial videos for this sweater patten are available on my Patreon page. If you’ve never knit sweaters before, I highly recommend checking them out.

Sizing and Meterage/Yardage
For sizes 32;34;36;38(40;42;44;46)48;50;52;54 (56;58;60;62) you need: 8;8;9;9(10;10;11;11)11;12;13;13(13;14;14;14) balls* of Scheepjes Metropolis. You need at least 2 colours.

meterage: 1485;1585;1690;1790(1895;1945;2045;2150) 2200;2300;2405;2455(2560;2660;2710;2760)

yardage: 1624;1733;1848;1958(2072;2127;2236;2351) 2406;2515;2630;2685(2800;2909;2964;3018)

Please note that the amount of balls needed depends on how many colours you choose. For example: if your size sweater needs 10 balls, and you choose 8 colours to knit it, you will probably need 2 balls of each colour, also you will use 10/8= 1.25 balls of each colour.

Gauge
Blocked gauge:
27 sts x 32 rounds of colourwork stockinette with 3mm needles measures 10x10cm.
Notes on gauge: if necessary, use a different needle size to reach gauge. Please note the gauge is measured on a swatch knit in the round.
