This triangle-shaped shawl was inspired by the name of a historic village--Arrow Rock, Missouri. Located near the Missouri River, Arrow Rock was once a thriving river port and a starting point for those headed west along the Santa Fe Trail. Long before the European settlers came through this area, native American tribes mined the flint rocks along the river, a rich source for arrowheads and tool blades.

The repeat of the Arrow Head lace pattern creates direction along the spine of the shawl while the simple construction allows the beauty of SweetGeorgia’s hand dyed colorways to come alive.

NOTE: This pattern is the first in the Do You Indie? club series (found at A Grand Yarn) featuring a different indie yarn company and an original pattern designed for the yarn each month. The pattern will be made available as a pdf download to the general public at the end of the month (this pattern will be published August 30th)!
