With a mixture of cables and bobbles, this nature-inspired modern fisherman’s style toque / beanie pays homage to the arrowleaf balsamroot plant and it’s distinctive leaves. A folded cuff adds comfort and warmth, and makes sure the hat stays snug. Keep your head cozy through winter while you wait for these cheerful flowers to bloom in spring :)

THE PDF PATTERN INCLUDES

  • A materials list

  • Charted and full, row-by-row written instructions for two adult size options, and

  • A glossary of terms and abbreviations used in the pattern.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Yarn Weight/Qualities: Size 1/Super-Fine (Fingering); the sample used a 2-ply wool yarn, but many different yarns could work well as long as they have enough stitch definition to still see the design; to get the hat to stand up rather than slouch (if desired), be sure to choose a yarn with more spring than drape
