These mitts are worked with a provisional cast on and picot hem.

If you prefer not to work a provisional cast on, simply fold and sew the picot hem.

The motif is graphic enough to be unisex.

Feel free to swap out the picot hem for simple turned hems (just purl the turning round, rather than working (k2tog, yo)), or (k1, p1) ribbing.

Knit Picks Wool of the Andes (100% Peruvian Highland Wool; 110 yards/50g): MC Haze Heather 26158, 1 ball; CC Blackberry 24273 1 ball.

US 5 (3.75mm) DPNs or circular needles, or one size smaller than size to obtain gauge
US 6 (5mm) DPNs or circular needles, or size to obtain gauge
