This is a leaf lace stitch from the 1890’s with an eight row pattern repeat. All the wrong side rows are easy, with the work being done on just the right side rows. This was a quick square to knit and would be beautiful for any number of projects: scarf, stole, shawl, sweater, cowl, hat, even short summer socks with a lace edge. Have fun with this! Mary Ellen
