Yarn warning I am amending the pattern to say you need approx. 250 yds of the lighter color as a few people ran out during the KAL and I don’t want anyone to go through that moment of panic with 2 rows left to go.

Errata:
Row 4 XXL ONLY no buttonhole version
K6, (kf&b, K4)x8, Kf&b, K to end of row.

This is a Mystery shawl/capelet KAL starting on August 3rd over on the Criminal Knits group. It features fitted shoulders and a lace border done in Japanese knitting.

You will need approx. 350 - 450 yds of a dark tonal or solid color worsted weight for the main body AND an additional 250+ yds of a much lighter solid for details and the edge. (pattern gives more details on yardages based on size).

You will also need: stitch markers (no rings), buttons - up to 4 if you choose to use them and size 9 and 10 circular needles. The size 10’s can be 24” the size 9’s should be 40” or longer.

This pattern is written, although the lace edge is also charted.

This pattern is written for worsted weight yarns ONLY.

Please use movie photo for your project pic and don’t forget to link your project, too!

Hope to see you over on Criminal Knits soon!
