I’ve always liked wallpapers with stylized scallops, here I wanted to create a lace version of the classic pattern. The large and dramatic lace pattern fits perfectly on this slightly wider than a regular triangle lace shawl.

Art Deco Scallop is a triangle shawl with increases incorporated in the lace motifs. The sample used roughly 400 meters fingering weight yarn, however the pattern is easily enlarged or made smaller and worked in your preferred yarn weight.

Sample shawl used 1 skein Wollmeise Twin in Zarte Knospe 80% Merino, 20% Polyamide 510yd/466m per 150g on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles.
Blocked size 132 x 66 cm (24 x 39 inches).
Gauge: 16 stitches and 20 rows on 10 cm in lace pattern.
