The inspiration for this simple lace cowl came from one of my son’s favorite book series: Artemis Fowl. The cowl is a bit dark, a bit twisted, and yet fun and quick to knit - just as the books are fun and quick to read, but have a dark and twisted “hero.” Malabrigo Silky Merino yarn is perfect for this project, with its lighter weight and slight sheen.

This is an appropriate pattern for an advanced beginner. You should know how to do simple increases and decreases, and how to work with a circular needle.
