This beaded handbag was inspired by Arwen’s butterfly headpiece and her green coronation dress as portrayed in the Lord of the Rings series. The butterfly motif, which is beaded and hand-stitched after knitting, transforms this easy bag into a stunning accessory.

Full color pictures and a beading diagram will guide you through each step. The techniques in the pattern include I-cord, picot edging, and sewn on beads.

Finished handbag measurements: 8” tall x 21” around.

Extra supplies needed:

  • Silver sewing thread
  • Narrow sewing needle
  • Plastic Canvas silver metallic yarn
  • 30 Silver tube beads
  • 12 Sliver oblong beads
  • 900 Silver lined Clear glass beads
  • One large novelty bead

Different sizes can be achieved using different needle sizes, and differing weights of yarn which may increase or decrease your yardage requirements.
