Isn’t it nice to work something really simple and fast for a change?
This design works up in little time, it is easily mastered and you end up with a very wearable, little summer-top with that little extra.

This top smells of summer!
No lace, frills, cables nor symmetry. Still a great top for summer.
The one-shoulder top features a great fit, as the little sleeve-cap ensures that the top stays in place. And it’s flattering, too!

Construction
The top is worked top-down and seamlessly.
You start from the shoulder down of the upper front/back.
At underarms the fronts are joined and the lower body is worked in the round to bind-off. The neck-edge is worked in rib-pattern from picked-up and knit sts. The sleeve-cap is worked in rib-pattern and the shape is created by short-rows.

Sizes
Chest measurement, after blocking, and worked at gauge: 77/82/90/95/103/108/117/121/126 cm = 30/32.5/35.5/38/40/42.5/45/47.5/49.5”. The sample is worked in size 1, with no ease.

Materials
Yarn: I recommend a light fingering, or fingering weight yarn, that knits up to gauge. I used ”Wild and Soft” from Gepard Garn, in the colour-way 499, Rain Storm, to work my top. This light fingering weight yarn comes in balls of 50 gr/1.76 oz and 240 m/262 yards.
Of this specific yarn you need: 500/550/600/650/725/775/825/900 m = 545/600/660/710/790/850/900/985 yards. Needles: size 3 mm/US2.5, or the size to obtain gauge.

Gauge
26 sts and 40 rows/rounds in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”.

The pattern
There is a schematic.
The measurements are given in cm’s, as well as in inches.
