Named for a tropical perennial in the Liliaceae family, Astelia is a versatile zigzag shawl / scarf constructed of sideways chevrons in mohair and silk. It’s super soft, ultra warm, and practically weightless - perfect to take on the dream vacation of your choice. (Just remember to wash it by hand when you get home.) Knit it in tropical brights for a Latin flair, soft colors for a romantic aura, or neutrals divided by narrow bands of vivid color for an urban vibe.

The piece is worked flat, sideways. The pattern is provided in both charted and written form. Not a fan of mohair? The pattern can be worked in any yarn with appropriate needles.
