Astellar is one of three “Star” patterns in Adornaments… a beaded holiday ornament collection.

Astellar is knit from the center out with beads and stiffened when finished. There is a DETAILED blog post on stiffening here.

Astellar is worked with pre-strung beads that are slipped in between stitches, this is the simplest of the Stars patterns to work!

The pattern includes detailed exclusive video tutorials to help you with the tricksy bits!

Beads and other Materials:
144 Size 8/0 glass seed beads (interior of star)
27 Size 6/0 glass seed beads (beaded bind off)
Dental floss threader (for stringing beads)
Tool for placing beads: super floss, .75-1mm steel crochet hook or a Beadle Needle (Bind off)
Stiffening agent

There are also kits available for Stellita, Stello and Astellar (one kit can make two of these!)
