Astratto is an asymmetrical shawl worked sideways.
It features cables to recreate some of the shapes in Kandinsky’s “Yellow, Red and Blue” painting, and beads are placed to highlight the color blocks and the background.

Recommended bead placements and bead colors are indicated throughout the pattern as guidance. But let the painting inspire your bead size & color choices. Feel free to change bead colors to better match your yarn color or personal preferences. More beads can be added to suit your style.

The sample on first picture has been knit with 613.5 yd – 561 m of Dyedianadye TussaLin, a light fingering 65% Silk - Tussah / 35% Cellulose - Linen / Flax (756 yd – 691 m on 4.06 oz – 115 g), and needles size 3.25 mm - US size 3.
