“Mission Control to Crochet Rocket One, ready for launch! 3-2-1 Liftoff!” These astronauts are ready for their exciting journey to Outer Space!

This fun set includes the pattern for the rocket and the astronaut(s). I chose to make the face plates in 3 different colors, feel free to choose your own colors, these are just a few ideas. The rocket is reinforced with plastic canvas so it will hold its shape. The astronauts can go through the windows to be stored inside the rocket.

Size
Gauge is not important to this pattern. The size of your finished products will vary depending on the size yarn and hooks you use. The rocket is about 10” tall and the astronauts are 4” tall.
• Using thinner yarn and smaller hooks will yield smaller items. Using thicker yarn and larger hooks will result in larger items. An individual crocheter’s yarn tension can also be a factor in sizing as well.

Pattern Notes
The pattern is written for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond (mainly because of the type of terminology used). The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help. Materials Used
• Red Heart Super Saver (size 4 worsted weight yarn)
• Crochet Hooks: 3mm for the astronauts and 4.5mm for the rocket
• Embroidery Floss
• Fiberfill
• 2 plastic canvas sheets
• Other: Yarn needle, sewing needle, scissors, straight pins, safety pin, skewers to help with stuffing, permanent marker
