This pattern is quite interesting to knit although it does have a compressed row gauge. This makes the knitting a little slower, but well worth the extra time. The shell has stockinette stitch hems and waist shaping for a polished look. I have also seen this pattern done in a subtle hand dyed yarn, the look is quite different and equally beautiful.
