For those days when you need to carry the world on your shoulders.

N.B. File was updated January 21 to include abbreviations.

Atlas is a large felted bag, knitted modularly and slightly bell-shaped. The bag itself takes about 12 balls of SWS, but you’ll need more for matching the colours in a variegated colourway, as in the example shown. I used parts of an additional 4 balls.

The pattern can be made smaller or larger, depending on your taste and how your yarn of choice felts. It’s mostly knit in garter stitch and is easy to knit, once you learn how to attach the squares to each other. It has an optional crochet edging and optional support in the bottom.

The pattern includes a schematic.
