The adorable ribbed wallet is the perfect size to hold that deck of loyalty cards you’ve accumulated. Participants in our knitalong also mentioned other uses such as an eye drop case, adding a cardboard divider to use as a regular wallet, or just a really cute gift card holder!

This project was designed as a quick way to learn 3 key techniques before knitting your first sweater: knit in the round using DPNs, a buttonhole, and a three-needle bind-off. Use leftover yarn or we’ve got a kit available at http://www.morehousefarm.com/KnittingKits/SmallProjects/A....

You’ll need 30-35 yards of Morehouse Merino (worsted weight), so you can get 3 wallets out of one skein!
You’ll also need a button (3/4” to 1” in diameter).

Size is approximately 3 1/2” x 5” after blocking.

Techniques used: (and you can join our Facebook group to see tutorials, and our new web site coming in June will have them also!)

  • KFB/PFB (make 1 increase)
  • k2tog
  • 2-row buttonhole
  • double-pointed needles (of course you can use Magic Loop, but that doesn’t give you DPN practice!)
  • three-needle bind-off
