Named for a favorite character of mine in a popular show from the 90s, Aud is a bottom up, in the round, funnel neck pullover with adjustable body and sleeve lengths (notes provided for modifying yardage needed).

The body of the sweater is seamless, though the folded funnel neck requires some simple seaming skills (and sewing, if using the optional fabric backing). The underarms are closed using either Kitchenner stitch or the three-needle bind off. The yoke begins with raglan shaping and ends with sloped shoulder decreases, to sit on your shoulder just right.

Yarn
Cashgora in sport weight by Cashmere People (100% Cashgora; approx 314 yards / 287 meters* = 100 g)

Yarn notes:

  1. The handspun nature of this yarn means some skeins may be thicker or thinner than average. Thinner yarn will have a higher yardage in a 100 gram skein, and thicker yarn will have lower yardage. I have listed the average yardage of the skeins I used for the sample. When selecting skeins for your project, select as close to this yardage as possible, and when not possible, try to select the same number of skeins below this number as above it.
  2. Alternating skeins throughout the pattern is strongly recommended not only to balance the hand-dyed color, but also to balance the gauge. In order to ensure my gauge remained even throughout the sample, I paired skeins that had the longest yardage with skeins with the shortest yardage when alternating skeins.
  3. If substituting yarn, swatching is essential to make sure you like the look and feel of your yarn when worked to the listed gauge. Choose a sport-weight yarn with a good halo. A smooth yarn may not work well at this looser gauge.
