Unlike the child’s blouse, this blouse has a shaped body with darts made by turning the rows before they are ended. The basque is knit in the same direction but separately, so that is possible to adjust the length along the way. The openwork pattern has a vertical effect, just as the shoulder pattern has.

A plain row of eyelet is knit between the sleeves and the body to emphasize the transition from the sleeves to the body. The eyelet at the bottom of the sleeves can be used with a string woven through it to gather the sleeves at the wrist.

The darts are vertical. The basque is a lace strip sewn around the bottom of the waist; there is a drawstring around the waist. There is no collar for the adult Aunt Anna blouse. The crochet edging along the fronts forms the buttonholes.

Instructions are minimal; most of the pattern is conveyed through a schematic diagram. The instructions for the Aunt Anna blouse for babies will also be of help

Pattern calls for about 250 g (8 oz) of “thin, light yarn”.

Also needed: 6 buttons, optional drawstrings for waist and cuffs.
