Auntie's Entrelac Scarf
From the Knit Picks Website:
I do occasionally take knit gift requests. While my dear auntie did not ask for an entrelac scarf by name, she did give me a color range. I thought, “what better way to bring two favorite colors together, but how on earth do I give someone a scarf with such an ugly side?” After plenty of swatch making, I decided to use a 1X1 rib to mimic the look of stockinette stitch and provide an almost entirely seamlessly reversible scarf! An applied I-cord adds nice finishing touch that evens up the long edges. Originally, this was to be a scarf. However, I prefer wide cozy quantities of warmth around my neck, so it turned into a wide cowl on the needles. The beauty of entrelac is one can count rectangles and triangles to get an excellent estimate of how far the yarn would go in a different arrangement. Therefore directions will be given for a joined cowl or a long scarf.
