This cowl was created for a simple project that is just about enjoying the yarn and doing some relaxed knitting.

Like the name suggests, it can be made on autopilot so a great project for knitting on the bus, train, or at a knit night.

Instructions are given for 1 size, with the necessary info for customising width and circumference provided.

It is designed for Worsted weight (10ply) yarn but can be done using any yarn you like.

Bind off
Use a stretchy bind off as in link below:

http://knitting.about.com/od/bindoffs/ss/stretchy-bi…

Or cast off loosely if that’s easier for you, or use any method that works for you!

Pattern has been updated
There was an asterix missing between K2TOG AND K1 in bind off instructions.
The new version leaves the cast off up to you.

Those who wish to try my way, it is exactly like the link above except I also knit the stitch that’s about to be cast off first (for extra give):

K2TOGtbl (and place it back on LH needle), *K1tbl (and place it back on LH needle), cast off (by K2TOGtbl the first 2 sts on LH needle)*, repeat from * to* to end.
