Designed as a companion piece to my Autumn Dreamer shawl.

The Autumn Dreamer hat features a unique and striking ribbed cable pattern. The edging is knit in a contrast color in garter stitch, allowing the cable pattern to truly shine.
Worsted weight wool creates plump stitch definition and makes this a relatively quick and satisfying knit.

The special cables create a 4X1 rib that expands once blocked, so it’s highly recommended that you use a natural fiber, instead of acrylic or high percentage acrylic blend.

Yardage:
Approximately 140 yards of worsted weight for Main Color
Approximately 40 yards of worsted weight for Contrast Color

Sizing:
Pattern is written in a size Average Adult small (18-20”), medium (20-22”) & large (22-25”).

Blocked Hat measurements:
Small: 8” wide at brim, 8” depth
Medium: 9” wide at brim, 8.5” depth
Large: 10” wide at brim, 9 ” depth
Cable pattern has negative ease of up to 4”, so there’s plenty of stretch if you want to block to a slouchier size. Garter brim has negative ease of up to 1”.
Note: Use a stretchy cast on for brim.

Pattern includes a chart as well as written instructions. A link to video tutorials on the cable stitches is also provided.

This pattern includes an “open license” which allows the knitter to sell the finished item.
