Bask in the warm fall colors of this Autumn Leaves interlocking filet mesh afghan with four different leaf patterns alternating across the afghan. The detail on the leaves is created with diagonal stitches. For an added leafy effect, a double border is also included: an inside picot border on the contrasting color layer, and an outside leafy border on the main color layer.

This pattern provides both row-by-row written instructions as well as a design chart for reference.

If you haven’t tried diagonals on an interlocking filet mesh project yet, you can learn how on my YouTube Channel and follow along with my FREE Interlocking Snowflake Coaster pattern! You can also read about it on my blog!

Finished Size:
47” wide x 59” long

Yardage:

Main (Background) Color:
Hobbii Winter Glow has a variation in thickness from lace weight to worsted weight. Two skeins (equaling 1530 yds. total) were used for this afghan with only 45 yds. remaining. If a uniform thickness DK weight yarn is used for the main color instead, I recommend 1930 yds. for this afghan.

Contrasting Color:
2250 yds. of We Love Yarn Megaball - Light worsted (DK) weight yarn was used.

This pattern is written in U.S. terms.
