Making the small triangle pieces of this detailed hat helps break the project into manageable sections. You can also alter the design by only bead knitting every other section or changing colors of yarn and/or beads for each section, giving the hat your distinctive creative stamp.

Calls for 1oz each of seven (7) colors of size 8 beads.
Also uses larger oblong beads and caps to make an acorn tassel.

Uses pre-strung bead knitting technique.

Gauge given in the 2003 edition of the book is 21 stitches x 25 rows = 1” in plaited stockinette, however this is likely a mistake as it would yield a hat that is 11” around.
